[Flagstaff, AZ] — Native Public Media (NPM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Wadsworth as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective January 1, 2025. With a proven track record of leadership and dedication to Tribal and community advancement, Wadsworth brings fresh energy and vision to NPM's mission of empowering Native voices through media.

Wadsworth joined NPM in 2023 as Financial Director, where he demonstrated exceptional expertise in financial operations and compliance, particularly in navigating the Corporation for Public Broadcasting's Community Service Grant requirements. "Brian has been instrumental in ensuring the success of our financial and operational initiatives," said Taylor. "His leadership and dedication to Native communities make him the ideal choice to help guide NPM's growth and ensure our programs continue to uplift and empower Native voices across the country."

Wadsworth's academic credentials are as impressive as his professional achievements. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (2012) and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (2020) from the University of Nevada, Reno, as well as a Master of Business Administration in American Indian Entrepreneurship (2016) from Gonzaga University.

In addition to his professional expertise, Wadsworth brings invaluable experience in Tribal governance and advocacy. His leadership extends across numerous boards and organizations, including Numu Inc., the Nevada Indian Commission, the American Indian Alaska Native Tourism Association, Nevada Indian Territory, the State of Nevada Commission on Tourism, and the City of Reno-Financial Advisory Board.

"I am deeply honored to step into this role and contribute to the mission of Native Public Media," said Wadsworth.
