Introducing New Leadership for the Station Advisory Committee

Native Public Media (NPM) is proud to introduce newly appointed members of the Station Advisory Committee - Elizabeth Black Bull and Tripp J. Crouse. Appointed for three-year terms, Black Bull serves as the Plains Representative and Crouse as the Alaska Representative. In addition, the SAC celebrates the appointment of Hector Youtsey as the 2018 Chair.

Elizabeth Black Bull has been working with the Native American Community Board since 2011 and currently is the Administrative Program Director, which includes management of KDKO 89.5 FM in Lake Andes, South Dakota. She enjoys volunteering at the local Boys and Girls Club on the Yankton Sioux Reservation.

Tripp J. Crouse is the Digital Media Editor for KTOO Public Media in Juneau, Alaska. Tripp previously worked in print journalism for 12 years. While new to working in public radio, Tripp recognizes the importance of providing communities with a voice and the value of public broadcasting, and loves helping other people tell their stories.

Hector Youtsey is the General Manager at KPYT-LPFM with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Mr. Youtsey has spent 23 years in the broadcasting field as an announcer, program director, music director and general manager. He has served on governing boards for First Things First Pascua Yaquai Tribal Regional Council and Tu’i NonoKameh Toasters.

A formal committee of the NPM Board of Directors, the SAC is comprised of representatives from the Native Radio System to ensure that services are responsive to the current needs of stations, and guide future support services to address any concerns that may arise with or among the Native stations.
