Joaqlin Estus

Joaqlin Estus (Tlingit) is a special projects consultant for KNBA-FM, a Native-owned and operated public radio station serving Anchorage and South central Alaska (where the majority of Alaska’s population resides). Her background includes work as KNBA news director; public communications director for the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium; as a reporter for KTOO FM in Juneau, Alaska, Minnesota Public Radio, and an intern at the Alaska Public Radio Network. She has worked for the state of Alaska in coastal management, and for the National Park Service as a historian. Joaqlin has a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Alaska Anchorage. She serves on the board of directors the Native Public Media, which promotes Native American participation in radio and broadband communications.
